¶ October 28, 2026 - Bring over for everyone, UPS monitoring, nine new apps, and more
Here's what shipped since our last update.
- Now available to everyone. Copy files from another computer, an external drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud Drive or iCloud Photos. Google Drive is coming once Google finishes its review.
- Clearer progress. Each share shows a progress bar and how much has been copied.
- Pause and resume picks up where you left off.
- UPS monitoring. Plug in a UPS over USB and a Power tile shows its charge, load and time on battery, and warns you when the battery needs attention.
- HexOS turns on monitoring for you. To have your server shut down when the battery runs low, turn it on in Settings > Power.
- New servers get a short welcome that offers Hardware advisor and a memory test, then shortcuts to get started. Reopen it from Settings > First-time setup.
- Setup is shorter, and the storage choices are now Let HexOS decide, I'll configure myself and Use imported pools only.
- Unlock passphrase-protected pools right from the pool page after a restart. If the pool holds your apps, the dashboard offers Unlock first.
- Drive tests that erase a drive are now offered only for unused drives.
- NVMe drives that can't self-test no longer fail pool audits over old, unchanged error counts.
- Moving your apps to another pool now reports its progress correctly.
- Updating several apps at once is more reliable, and downloads retry longer when Docker Hub is busy.
- Apps that need a display, like Kodi, explain when your server has no graphics card for them.
- Fixed cases where an update showed as failed while the app was still starting, or where an app with its own database (like Jellystat) couldn't start after an update.
- The Plex VM now keeps Plex up to date, including existing installs.
- VMs now show the right time, and older Windows 11 installers like 23H2 now install.
- The VM console opens through your own domain without Not Authenticated errors.
- Set up a VM no longer shows errors before you type anything.
- Change server now explains why a server can't take your backup.
- The backups tables fit on phones and smaller laptops.
- An offline buddy now shows a clear "couldn't reach" message.
- The dashboard loads noticeably faster.
- Your chosen language stays put as you move around.
- Changing your password signs you out everywhere else.
- Key details for Repair access, backup requests and VM removal are now on the screen, not hidden in tooltips.
- Kodi - Plays your movies, shows and music on a TV plugged into your server. Our first display app.
- Tautulli - Watch history and stats for Plex, with a dashboard card.
- SABnzbd and NZBGet - Usenet downloaders.
- Deluge - A lightweight BitTorrent client.
- Profilarr - Quality profiles for Radarr and Sonarr.
- Vaultwarden - A Bitwarden-compatible password manager. Leave the admin panel password blank to keep the panel off.
- Uptime Kuma - Keep an eye on your websites and services, and get alerted when one goes down.
- Crafty 4 - Run and manage your own Minecraft servers.
- Connect apps in one click. Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, Prowlarr, Seerr, Bazarr, Profilarr, your download clients and your media server can now link to each other, from the install dialog or an app's Connections tab.
- One admin account. Choose a single username and password at install instead of default sign-ins.
- Ready on first open. Radarr, Sonarr and Lidarr start with your Movies, Shows and Music folders already added.
- Setting up Jellyfin, Emby and Plex is optional and can be run later from the app's card.
- Emby's card shows what's playing, and Scrutiny's card adds disk temperatures.
